The municipality of Techelsberg extends from Lake Wörthersee to the Ossiacher Tauern. There are many striking wooden wayside shrines; the most important and largest one in Carinthia is the eight-metre-high Tschachonig cross.

Nature was in a good mood when she designed Techelsberg, creating a picture-book landscape perfect for hiking, walking, mountain biking, cycling and swimming.

As well as Lake Wörthersee, the idyllic Lake Forstsee also guarantees peace and contemplation. The small lake in the middle of the woods attracts individualists, nude bathers, nature lovers and dog lovers, and a circular hiking path offers an inviting one-and-a-half-hour walk.
